Art of the Pandemic
Contest and Rules
A weekly contest beginning on Mondays July 19, July 26, August 2 and August 9, 2021

Age groups are as follows: Ages 5-12, Ages 13-18, Ages 19 and up.

Contest 1: Drawing (any traditional media)

Contest 2: Poetry (length should not exceed 50 words)

Contest 3: Photographs (must be two photographs before and during the pandemic of the same place)

Contest 4: Narrative (a narrative of how the pandemic affected you, maximum 250 words.)

All submissions are due on the Friday of each week.(July 23, July 30, August 6 and August 13, by 5 pm respectively.)

Submissions can be emailed, by post, or hand delivered (address TBD).

On the back of each submission, clearly write your name, phone number, and email. (This information is not shared with anyone.)

Judging will take place on the Sunday of each week’s contest. (July 25, August 1, August 8, and August 15th respectively.)

The winner will be notified via email and announced on the Pandemic Page each Monday.

The winner will choose their prize. see below.

All prizes will be distributed and/or mailed by the end of August 2021.

Our Story

Our story is quite simple. We have all been affected by COVID-19 this past year and quarter, we still feel the effects at the present time. This page, Art of the Pandemic, is our creation of expression; the contest that we have devised is not only for your enjoyment but also an opportunity to share your feelings. It is so important that we all work together and that we all care for one another realizing that we are all on the same boat. This site will be a testament to us and how COVID has not beaten us. This page is a semi-permanent part of the King Knish website, so you can always reach out and share with us your thoughts. Even when this contest has concluded ,we have other creative things in store.
